Alex Lambert fans are petitioning to get him back on American Idol. Over 16,00 can be wrong, can they?

Will Alex Lambert return to American Idol with petitioners support?
Alex Lambert's fans demand he come back to American Idol. An online petition to get Lambert back on Idol has already received over 16,000 signatures since Lambert was kicked off last week.

The petition to bring Alex Lambert back was started by 29 year-old Jessica Bongiorno. She feels that Lambert was taken off the show prematurely. Bongiorno brings up a very valid point on her website, American Idol producers have the power to bring back Lambert with the wild card if they chose to.
Bongiorno said on the petition website,
"This needs to be taken seriously. It has reached over 16,000 signatures and is continuing to still rise. How is it possible that everyone at Fox has thus far been ignoring me? I know you are all very much aware of this petition, and have been for the last couple of days. We are the ones that give you ratings, and an acknowledgment would be decent, to say the least. How is anyone supposed to believe that the voting wasn't even somewhat swayed last week by VFTW (Vote for the Worst)? Their ABOUT US section clearly outlines how they completely attempt to sway the American Idol voting tallies. Just as well, there was a major power outage in Missouri the night the guys had to sing, and that left viewers with NO Fox channel until the next day! Therefore, they could not watch and vote. While I understand there are "rules" for American Idol, I've also seen the show's random surprises in the last couple of years. You CAN do something about this... about what America WANTS (like Idol is SUPPOSED to be about), if you truly WANT to."
You have to admit that Bongiorno makes a valid argument.
According to MTV, An American Idol spokesperson declined to comment on the petition drive and said the show has not made any announcement about the judges' save this year, but noted that in season eight, it applied only to the top 12 finishers.
Many people seem to feel the website Vote For The Worst may be responsible for Lambert getting booted off the show too early. According to the website, the sole intent of the site is "to support voting for the entertaining contestants who the producers would hate to see win on American Idol."
Fans of Betty White successfully persuaded Saturday Night Live to have her host an episode. Can Alex Lambert fans get him back on American Idol? Social Media is a powerful force. Let's see if Idol producers can actually hear it.

Alex Lambert needs to be brought back to American Idol. He was kicked off WAY too early. It's unfair that some BS website can control the outcome of AI.
He is absolutely with out a doubt one of my favorites! Bring HIM back!!!!

should it be any more obvious? EVERYWHERE, people voted that he should be BACK on the show. These people are seriously getting on my nerves, I can't stand this anymore. I am not watching idol anymore, and i'm not joking.
I was shocked when he was kicked off. Think that he has so much potential and love his voice tone, his dimples and genuine humble outlook. But I wonder if he really needs American Idol after all the polls, and votes and signatures on the petition....he may be better off at this point without American Idol and I question if maybe AI isnt using all this to their advantage. When Alex was on Ellen and the piano player (Michael Orland ?) who accompanied him is the same one that accompanies ther top 10 once they get kicked off. Is Alex actually under contract with AI even though he did not make it into the top 12 or top 10? Strange that his personal facebook was taken down....is that because of contractual issues? I sure hope not and hope that he is able to do what his fans want, and that is more Alex Lamberts music.
Watching this show, when he got voted off really makes me consider not wanting to watch the rest of the Season. Anyone know where I can find more of Alex's music? Oh yeah and...he's superrrr sexy (mullet and all) :)
Alex had raw talent and I thought easy on the eyes !
