Alex Graves wants a divorce from his wife. The director, currently known for his work on "Game of Thrones" on HBO, has filed the papers to divorce his wife of almost 20 years. The couple married back in 1995, and they have two children together. On April 26, TMZ reported on the divorce filing.

Why has Alex Graves filed for divorce? The papers mention 'irreconcilable differences.' Graves has also asked for joint and physical custody of his two children with Sarah Graves. The children, a son and a daughter, are currently 15 and 11.

Graves has directed two episodes of "Game of Thrones" this season, and the man directed two more episodes that will air later this season. He directed the recent episode of the series that killed off Joffrey, and he also directed the episode that followed. His directing work will also be seen on the season four finale on HBO.

Alex Graves has not just directed "Game of Thrones" for HBO. His work also includes "The West Wing" and "Ally McBeal." He was also an executive producer for "The West Wing" on NBC.

Divorce is never an easy thing to deal with. Children always make filing for divorce harder. Here is hoping that this situation is handled properly for all involved.
