Alex Bussa, Phoenix fashion photographer

Romulus and Remus didn’t build Rome in a day; the same applies to Alex Bussa’s beautiful and innovative fashion photography, it is a product of years of practice, experimentation, and passion.

Alex Bussa has been making beautiful women gorgeous and gorgeous women into wet dreams for the past three years; but, he didn’t just pick up a disposable camera and get to be one of the valleys finest over night. “I've had an interest in photography my entire life, or at least as far back as I can remember. I can recall always trying to get my hands on my parents 110 film camera as a child.” says Bussa who first began clicking shutters on family vacations. It wasn’t until he began studying studio lighting a little over three years ago, that Alex has been taking fashion photos.

Bussa explains his passion for fashion photography as being derived from his knowledge of studio lighting as well as enjoying the fashion photos at the beginning of fashion magazines. Alex explains, “When I started studying studio lighting, switching my subject matter to people was an obvious choice. The type of people photography I've always found most interesting is fashion photography, especially the advertisements at the beginning of fashion magazines.” For most people, saying they’re going to “read a magazine” is about the same as going to Hooters for the wings; i.e. there are reasons there are photos in magazines and beautiful women at Hooters- humans are visual creatures.

All this being said, Alex has worked very hard towards achieving an awesome end result: taking photographs of amazing looking women wearing, something, to most men’s favorite, nothing. “My focus has been mostly on female fashion. Women just seem to have more options that allow me a wider canvas to work with.” says Bussa, who, has shot males with much success, but, his true passion shows through his female photography.
