It seems that things just keep getting better for Alec Baldwin. In June 2012, Baldwin married his second wife Hilaria and immediately the baby question popped up at every interview. Well, Baldwin and his bride of less than 1-year confirmed the news to Extra on Tuesday, February 11.
There has been no official word on whether the baby coming is a boy or a girl but it is due in late summer. In the interview he explained how his wife Hilaria broke the news. His wife took a pregnancy test upstairs and the next thing Baldwin hears is a scream which Baldwin says is "normally reserved if there is a spider in the house." Hilaria then comes out and yells, "I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant!"
Baldwin already has a daughter from his marriage to actress, Kim Basinger. Her name is Ireland and according to IMDb, Baldwin jokingly said he named her that, "because she's beautiful but can't manage her finances."
No names for the new baby have been revealed but the younger Baldwin tweeted her shock at news today. "I'm going to be a big half sister. Woah," says @IrelandBBaldwin.
The elder Baldwin is currently enjoying some time off since his show, 30 Rock ended its 8 year run in January. He can now use that free time to dote on his pregnant wife. Here's wishing the couple the best on their first child together.
