Duo Alex and Sierra won season 3 of FOX's "The X Factor" on Thursday night. The quirky couple from Orlando, Fla. beat out fellow competitors Jeff Gutt and Carlito Olivero.

Alex and Sierra - comprised of Alex Kinsey and Sierra Deaton - were mentored by judge Simon Cowell. Throughout the competition, the two singers would take hit songs and put a cool, acoustic spin on them. Their covers for the show proved to be big hits on iTunes. When Alex and Sierra's versions of A Great Big World's "Say Something" and Sara Bareilles' "Gravity" were released, both hit no. 1 on the digital retailer. Now as winners of "The X Factor" U.S., the fresh act seems destined for even bigger success.

Before being crowned champions of "The X Factor," Alex and Sierra sang a plucky rendition of Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You." They follow past show victors Melanie Amaro and Tate Stevens.
