Alex and Jo have had a spectacular chemistry since the first time they laid eyes on one another. Unfortunately, the arrival of Alex’s estranged father on the scene and Jo’s subsequent, well-intentioned interference has – for the moment – soured things for the couple. On the Halloween episode, “Thriller,” on “Grey’s Anatomy” which aired on Oct. 31 at 8 p.m., things were still strained between the two.
Alex continued speaking to Jo only about work and even then, hostilely. She lamented to Stephanie that she thought things were over between them. Alex was being very unforgiving about her urging him to mend his relationship with his dad – an effort that ended up with Alex giving the old man a beat down and leaving Alex destroyed all over again.
Jo tried to get Meredith to give her advice on how to talk to Alex and was about to tell her what happened when Meredith stopped her. Mer said if Alex shared his private life with Jo, then it was because he trusted her and she would have to work this out on her own.
Dresses as the most stunning Tinkerbell ever seen, Jo showed up at Alex’s house. He stood stunned as she apologized. She admitted she shouldn’t have pushed him to talk to his dad but she did it out of love. It was just one wrong call and didn’t she deserve another chance. In typical Alex fashion, he opened the screen door and told her to come inside before the trick-or-treaters realized he was home.
It seems likely that he will forgive her – at least he had better – but we’ll have to tune in Nov. 7 when “Grey’s Anatomy” continues. Check back here often for more updates, recaps and spoilers as they become available.
