Alessandra Ambrosio has a hot bikini body, thanks to a portion-controlled diet, yoga and rigorous workouts, Celebrity Health Fitness reported. Surprisingly, the Victoria's Secret supermodel claims she has cellulite, and that running stairs helps firm her glutes.
"If I look in the mirror and see cellulite — and I have some —I run the Santa Monica Stairs," said Ambrosio. "They're really hard. I'll go up and down the steps four to six times, usually once a week. It definitely helps the butt and legs while you're getting a little sun and fresh air at the same time."
The 5-foot-9 Brazilian bombshell also tones her butt by doing calisthenics with ankle weights and taking yoga classe. "I put 5-pound ankle weights on each leg, get on all fours and kick each heel up toward the ceiling," she said. "I do three sets of 20. Then I also do three sets of 20 fire hydrants, where you lift each bent leg up and out to the side."
Judging by her fat-free physique, it's hard to tell that Ambrosio is a mom of two who gained 60 pounds with each pregnancy. Alessandra's post-baby weight loss secret was a 1,500-calorie-a-day diet featuring lots of vegetables, fish and green juices.
Alessandra had never dieted before her pregnancies, and said losing the baby weight was really hard. “People kept telling me I would bounce back straight away, but a week after giving birth I still had that balloon belly," she said.
Alessandra's diet these days typically features bacon and eggs for breakfast, sushi and chicken salads for lunch, and dinners of meat, vegetables and some rice.
While Alessandra is one of the highest-paid models in the world, she also love taking photos, especially of her children.
“I bring my Fujifilm Instax camera with me everywhere,” said Ambrosio. “I love taking shots of my kids. And the photos print right away!”
Endured Botched Plastic Surgery at 11
While Alessandra is one of the sexiest women in the world, she's self-conscious about her ears, which became misshapen after a botched plastic surgery at age 11.
“I always knew I wanted to be a model so I decided to have my ears pinned back, because they stuck out a bit," she said. "I found this doctor in my hometown in Brazil who had only done it once before, so I was a guinea pig."
Ambrosio had to undergo a series of corrective surgeries to undo the damage from the initial botched operation. The harrowing experience made her swear off plastic surgery forever.
“The first few nights, it felt like someone had cut off my ears," she said. "For a year, I had to go back for mini-surgeries. Doctors say they can fix them, but cosmetic surgery freaks me out now.”
While becoming rich and famous thanks to her hot body, Alessandra said looks aren't everything, and she wants to teach her daughter the importance of hard work and being a decent person.
"Having a perfect body isn't everything," Ambrosio said. "I want my daughter to be nice, have a good education and be disciplined. That's what makes people like her. A perfect butt doesn't make an amazing person. It's about feeling confident."
