ALERT, the FDA is considering allowing artificial sweeteners like aspartame and splenda to be added to milk and dairy products without any label notice. This is a fundamental alteration of a NATURAL product and should put every single person on high alert. Many of us have very adverse reactions to these products and can’t use them. The FDA is actually thinking of allowing this sneaky and underhanded way of sweetening our milk and yogurts.
The argument for doing this is to make it more ‘tasty’ to users. The argument against, in my opinion, is that 1. Some of us are allergic and 2. Though artificial sweeteners are supposed to be non-nutritive, they are still high on the glycemic index. What that means is that diabetic, pre-diabetic, and high-risk diabetic people are in specific danger.

Here is what you can do to STOP this from happening:
- Post this on your facebook page so we can get as many people as we can to know and petition against this proposed regulation
- Go to this link, click the comment button, and tell the FDA that you oppose the regulation and why. http://www.regulations.gov/#!documentDetail;D=FDA-2009-P-0147-0012
If we don’t make a stand, you will have to go to the nearest dairy farm or farmers market to get safe milk, help me protect our milk supply!
