So, here I was, sitting here in the glorious North Georgia Mountains (A Conservative Paradise, by the way and Thank You GOD!) MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS when I received a message via Twitter that asked me if I agreed with my cousin and fellow Twitterer, Alec Baldwin.
I replied- "No. But brothers Daniel and Stephen are good and Godly men."
For those who don't "tweet"- you only have 140 characters to send messages. And I wasn't about to get into Alec's politics- or anything else, for that matter.
Next thing I know, cousin Daniel sends ME a message- Sounds like a judgement cuz. Praying is a better way to go for me!!!!
I replied and said I wasn't judging, just stating fact.
Then Daniel brings Alec into the conversation @alecbaldwin @HarrietBaldwin: I decided it was best to pray for her and to throw her a little party!!!! BLOCK PARTY That Is!!!!
Alec had "blocked" me from his Twitter account many moons ago, because I was having too much fun with the Twitter War he got into with a famous Conservative television and radio host- who shall be nameless, because HE knows how to "take the high road."
So Alec tweets: @DanielBaldwin @HarrietBaldwin needs to put down the moonshine, dismantle the still. The Revenooers are comin'!!!
To which Daniel responds: @AlecBaldwin @HarrietBaldwin: Thank goodness that getting drunk and loosing your dentures doesn't prevent one from typing pearls of wisdom!!
Then, the ALWAYS classy Alec Baldwin attacks me directly:@HarrietBaldwin: Put down the shotgun and the jug, Hairy-ette.
Nice, huh?
All I can say is- it's so WONDERFUL to have Conservative friends in my "Twitterverse" because the proverbial TWEETS started to hit the fan!
Lots of anti-Southerner, banjo-plunking comments from the elitists.
Conservative activists, journalists and friends such as Andrew Breitbart, Noel Sheppard, Adam Baldwin (no relation-but my "brother from another mother at Breitbart's Big Hollywood) Matt Dawson, Greg Halvorson and SO MANY others (thank you ALL!) - came to my "rescue" and expressed their outrage at the two Baldwin men ganging up on me!
I also got my share of nasty messages from "followers" of the two actors- and those lovely folks were quickly told "Bye-Bye and BLOCKED!"
After a long day in "Twitterville"- one has to wonder? What would possess two rich, famous, successful Hollywood actors to come after "little old ME?"
Answer: LIBERALISM.
It's a disease. It's a mental disorder. It's vitriolic and it's HATE.
It's also very distressing to me because I have witnessed how nasty and mean-spirited Alec has been over the years. But Daniel broke my heart, to be honest.
He starts his Twitter day with a bright and cheery "I'm Up"- and usually "tweets" something about prayer and God. Most every morning- I would "tweet" him back and wish him a lovely day.
So what do I have to say to all this "Twitter-Havoc?"
I say-God bless them both. Continued success to them both. I wish them nothing but health, happiness and peace. And I pray that they BOTH find the true meaning of God's love as their brother, Stephen has.
