Deadline reported yesterday of “Deadfall” director Stefan Ruzowitzky’s next project; “Caught Stealing.”
Based on the novel by Charlie Huston, and written by David Hayter (“X2: X-Men United”), the film will star Alex Baldwin (“Mercury Rising”) and Patrick Wilson (“The A-Team”).
The story centers on a man (Wilson) lost in a bloody treasure hunt through New York City, and Baldwin will play a sadistic cop who is after him.
This actually sounds like a fun return to form for Baldwin who has been seen mainly in comedies lately (no one seems to remember he had a serious side a while ago).
With a somewhat competent director, a decent enough writer, and a pretty solid cast it looks like we could be in for a fun little thrill ride.
