Don't see one near you? That's okay because ALDI plans on opening a total of 30 new stores in the greater Houston area over the next two years, bringing approximately 400 new jobs to the area.
“We are excited to announce the locations of the first nine ALDI stores that will open across Houston, expanding our ability to bring grocery savings to people every day,” said Scott Huska, Denton division vice president for ALDI in a recent press statement. “At ALDI, Houston shoppers will find the highest quality products, including fresh produce, at the lowest possible prices in a simple and easy-to-navigate shopping environment.”
What's different about ALDI grocery stores? Customers can expect to find more than 1,400 of the most frequently purchased items sold under ALDI exclusive brands for prices up to 50 percent less than traditional supermarkets. ALDI eliminates overhead costs by offering smart practices, such as a smaller store footprint, open carton displays and encouragement of customers to bring their own shopping bags.
