With this beautiful weather it is hard to resist being outdoors.  The month of May brings along lots of opportunity for the whole family to enjoy.

Herbfest
May 8 and 9, 2010 (10:00am – 4:00pm)
Rio Grande Nature Center, 2901 Candelaria NW, Albuquerque
Admission: Free / $3.00 Parking
 
Celebrate with native plants, herbs, wildflowers, and live wildlife rescued birds. During your visit you can enjoy guided tours of the Bosque, nature walks, and activities for the children.
 
 
 
22nd Annual Rio Grande Valley Celtic Festival
May 15 and 16, 2010
Balloon Fiesta Park, 4401 Alameda Blve NE, Albuquerque
Admission: $10 Adults (1 day pass) / $15 Adults (includes both days)
                    $ 5 Child    (1 day pass)/ $ 7 Child (includes both days)
 
Whether as a participant or observer, there is plenty to enjoy at this year’s Celtic Festival. Solo Bagpiping, Highland Dance competitions, tug of war, and Clan gatherings are a tiny sample of the day’s events and entertainment.
 
 
 
2010 Albuquerque Wine Festival
May 29-31, 2010 (12:00pm – 6:00pm)
Balloon Fiesta Park, 4401 Alameda Blvd. NE, Albuquerque
Admission: $15 Adults (includes souvenir glass) / Free for under 21 with parent or legal guardian (photo ID required).
 
The New Mexico Wine Growers Association is once again hosting ABQ’s Wine Festival. Fun filled days of live entertainment, arts & crafts, food, and of course wine wine wine from many wine growers during this Memorial Day weekend. In honor of our brave men and women, active duty military personnel receive a $3 discount on May 31st by presenting their military ID.
 
You can avoid the long lines by purchasing your tickets in advance on-line.
