Last night at 515 Garson Drive, Atlanta, Georgia, Passion City Church had a POWER HOUSE Album Release for the 2013 Passion Conference New Music. I arrived to Passion city church in time to hear the "man" Louie Giglio bring the message of reconciliation and hope. As if that weren't enough, after the 4:00pm service, within 45 minutes everyone were gracefully escorted out of the sanctuary and volunteers called "DOOR HOLDERS" turned the sanctuary into a mini concert hall. All of those who were there to hear Louie preached, stayed and lined up outside the doors in an orderly manner to ENTER BACK in at 6:30pm for the ALBUM RELEASE. STANDING ROOM ONLY!!!
Kristian Stanfill OPENED the concert with those resounding lyrics "Wake up open your eyes." The line up across the FRONT of the stage was David Crowder (my favorite), Christy Nockels. Chris Tomlin, Kristian Stanfill and Brent Younker.
The Room was electric, with every age jumping all over the building. The couple standing next to us said they drive up every Sunday from Columbus, Georgia (2 hour drive) to attend Passion City Church and said it is something they look forward to every week. WOW!
Kristian had everyone singing and dancing on God's Great Dance Floor. There was not much glitz and glamour to the stage, rather Tomlin and the others allowed the MUSIC to Sing for itself.
Tomlin said, "this is the night of nights.." and "music is the front door.." then the crowd got Rowdy with Praise. The building was shaking the city of Atlanta last night ad for good reason. The album release is truly "Let the Future Begin".
