I am excited to report that I have just received word that Albert Einstein Academy's Home Study Program raised their instructional funds to $1,000 per student per semester, so that amounts to $2,000 per school year. This is great news for everyone in their program already. The other good news is also that they have some available spots open for the Fall semester. If you are interested in joining their program, click here and click on Home Study. Fill in the application form and they will contact you. Since a lot of staff is on vacation at the moment, you might only hear back from them after Aug.1, 2014 when they return to the office.
Albert Einstein Academy's Home Study program also offers a free 2 hour unit study every week on Tuesdays at 9am-11am and free tutoring/homework help 11am-12pm or a special STEM class for a small fee.
Charter schools are great for helping out with educational costs. The instructional funds can be used at any approved service or product vendors. Albert Einstein has a long list of approved vendors.
Santa Clarita is very lucky to be served by several charter schools. All the charters, at the time of the publishing of this article, had the same amount of instructional funds as mentioned in my article, except Albert Einstein (details above) and Sky Mountain Charter School who has raised their funds to $1,000 for students K-8 and $1,250 for high school students recently. This is per student per semester.
