Albany Brown Derby lines up Mardi Gras menu

ALBANY, NY — Mardi Gras isn’t just for New Orleans. The Brown Derby is planning a three-hour Fat Tuesday fest on Tuesday, February 21.

During the 5 to 8 p.m. period, $5 cocktails will include such seasonal mixes as Hurricanes, VooDoo Cocktails and mojitos, as well as $5 wine specials, $4 drafts and $3 Coors Light drafts.

In addition, appetizer specials starting at $3.50 will include Cajun crab fondue with Saratoga chips; fried oysters with Creole dipping sauce; cherry pepper calamari; crab cakes and shrimp gumbo. Patrons are invited to come in costume.

A special three-course dinner also will be available at $19.29. The menu:

Appetizer: Selection of shrimp gumbo, fried oysters, Derby wedge or Caesar salad.
Entrée: Selection of blackened Delmonico steak with whole grain mustard cream or seafood jambayala.
Dessert: Villa Italia Mardis Gras specialty.
