Alaska Aviation Museum: It's a busy year at Lake Hood!

This year is lining up to be pretty special for aviators and followers of Alaska aviation history at the Alaska Aviation Museum at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.

“All of this year’s inductees have fascinating stories and interesting historical significance to our aviation legacy,” said Shari Hart, executive director of the Alaska Aviation Museum.

Best known for his work on perfecting after-market improvements for the Piper Super Cub, F Atlee Dodge is being inducted into the Aviation Hall of Fame on March 21, 2014. Also being inducted at the same time will be pioneer aviator, Jack Peck and Alaska Aviation Legend Bill English the only living member of the trio.

Tickets are $85 per person and the event will be held at the Coast International Inn at Lake Hood.

Fri, March 21: 6pm, Aviation Hall of Fame honoring Atlee Dodge, Jack Peck and Bill English

Monday, March 24: Lecture Series with Rob Stapleton 6:30pm at the museum

Fri, April 4: Guns, Grummans and Grapes 6:30pm partnership with the AK Aviation Museum and AK Professional Hunters Ass’n

Sat, April 19: Kids Day, free admission for everyone with special activities for kids

Mon, April 21: Lecture Series- Brad Washburn talk by Dr. Michael Sfraga 6:30pm

May 15: Old, Bold Pilots

Sunday, July 20: Salmon Bake and Fly By

The Alaska Aviation Museum a non-profit was founded in 1977 and operates of donations, grants and its membership dues.
