Yesterday, Remeday announced that a 75 percent-off deal had been posted on Steam as part of the Steam Winter Sale. With this announcement, Remedy also delivered a bit of information that foreshadows exciting news that will be delivered sometime during 2013. The new year starts with good news: Alan Wake Franchise is -75% on Steam. Even greater Remedy news to come in 2013...
With the last bit of information being said, this brings thoughts towards the popular Alan Wake franchise that Remedy has created. With the first installment of this franchise performing extremely well on the Xbox 360 and PC platforms, it seems fitting that Remedy is working on a sequel to the series. Fans of the series have been desperately awaiting the next installment to the series, as this seems to be what Remedy is teasing with the statement that was given.
With the possible announcement of Alan Wake 2 in 2013, it will be very interesting to see what platforms this title actually releases on. It is expected that we will see Sony and Microsoft's next generation consoles releasing this year, this being the PS4 and Xbox 720 respectively. With this type of news developing, it may very well conclude to Alan Wake 2 appearing on the Xbox 720, and possibly even the PS4.
