Cleveland ,OH - The majestic Cleveland Masonic Auditorium /Performance Arts Center hosted what would be a coup in the music industry . In this day and age of corporate venues and historic concert halls the little venue that could, actually did ! The setting could not have been more grandiose as the architecture and sound acoustics to this beautiful old hall played host to a legend in the music industry . The Alan Parsons Live Project set foot in town on Tuesday and the mighty sound engineer and visionary thrilled this eclectic audience. The record of almost a dozen Grammy nominations play tribute to his musical genius and this Cleveland audience came out in force to hear him. The stage was dark and he crowd was alive and you could feel the magic in the air . The stage lights hit and the band burst into their mega-hit “ I Robot “ and continued for almost two hours of solid music . The night included many of their other hits and collaborations including “Damned If I Do “, “Don’t Answer Me “ and “ Raven “ . The beautiful and inspiring “ Time “ and the artistry of “ La Sangrada Familia “ . The night continued with more rock with “ I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You “ . As a side note the band were tight with many of them being long time collaborators and amazing artists in there own right and included but not limited to Ross Pallone, Dan Tracy ,Manny Focarazzo, PJ Olsson,Guy Erez,Danny Thompson ,Alastair Greene and Todd Cooper . I was surprised by the sheer number of songs I knew as I was not a Alan Parsons fan but I am now . Other songs of the night included “ Turn On A Friendly Card “ , “ Snake Eyes “ and many more . The second half of the night included “ Fragile “ ,What Goes Up “, “ Prime Time “ and the legendary “ Eye in The Sky “ along with many others . This was a rare Cleveland appearance and I hope to come back again as I will be there . I side note to the staff of the wonderful Cleveland Masonic Auditorium /Performance Arts Center as the place was beautiful , the sound majestic and the staff outstanding .
