Austin, Texas has a thriving craft beer scene with several breweries/brewpubs within its greater metropolitan area. One of its many acclaimed establishments is 512 Brewing and Houston residents have a chance to sample some 512 Brewing beers as part of a special event at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. Here are the facts:

When: Friday, January 27, 7pm
Why: To sample 512 beer and food and watch the classic movie Dazed and Confused
Alamo Drafhouse is known for its unique atmosphere that combines cinema with fine brew and it sponsors events like this on a regular basis. The West Oaks location will host this event, with a beer dinner that is going to feature 512 Brewing Co. products, special food, and a screening of the slacker classic movie Dazed and Confused- a movie that was filmed in Austin and stars Ben Affleck and Parker Posey.
Food and pairings at this event will include cheese soup matched with 512 ONE, a Belgian ale; Empenadas along with 512 Two double IPA; goat cheese and roast beef plate served with 512 Three Belgian tripel; and brownies served with 512 Cascabel Cream Stout.
The evening of film, fun, food, and beer begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased in advance via the Alamo Drafhouse website. Tickets may go quickly, so act now!
