Miss out on the 2013 edition of Fantastic Fest?
Well fear not movie lovers, the Alamo Drafthouse and Fantastic Fest announced Monday that the two are joining forces to bring a taste of this year's festival back to Austin with the Fantastic Fest tour.
During the month of November, eight of Fantastic Fest 2013's finest and strangest will grace the screens of the Alamo Drafthouse Slaughter Lane in Austin. Included in that list of eight films is Fantastic Features Best Picture winner and my personal favorite film of Fantastic Fest 2013 "The Congress" as well as Toronto International Film Festival "Midnight Madness" audience award winner "Why Don't You Play in Hell?" directed by the renowned Sion Sono.
The rest of the incredible lineup includes SXSW 2013 fan favorite "Cheap Thrills," the Quentin Tarantino championed "Big Bad Wolves," Netherlands Academy Award Best Foreign Language Film submission "Borgman," South Korea's "Confession of Murder," Elijah Wood's "Grand Piano" and Chinese comedy "Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons."
The schedule of Austin dates for the 2013 Fantastic Fest tour reads as follows:
· Friday, November 15:
- “The Congress” - 7:15 p.m.
- “Grand Piano” - 10:00 p.m.
