Charges were filed on Dec. 13 against , 53, of Barton, Alabama. She was cited with 15 counts of cruelty against dogs when authorities discovered she was keeping over 100 Pomeranian and Yorkshire Terrier dogs outside her house, caged. In total, authorities located 122 dogs and removed all of them into Colbert County Animal Shelter.
She was presented with the cruelty warrants this morning after the dogs were removed from outside and around the house.
Colbert County Sheriff Ronnie May said that the dogs were removed with the help of both sheriff’s department personnel and the Colbert County Animal Control.
May said that Catledge indicated she had relocated many dogs out of the state already but refused to say where they were or give any further specifics.
When investigators searched inside Catledge’s residence, they found two additional living dogs. However, they also found two dead dogs in the house.
At this time, Catledge is being held on $750 bail.
