It’s safe to say the all eyes in the college football world will be interested in the Week 2 online and TV schedule game between No. 1 ranked Alabama and No. 6 Texas A&M. Can Johnny Manziel and the Texas A&M Aggies beat Alabama for the second straight season? The Crimson Tide have basically dominated college football the last four years, winning three of the last four BCS Championships, including the last two.
However when they ran into ‘Johnny Football’ last season they didn’t know what hit them.
The Tide looked vulnerable and out of sync for the first times in years under Coach Nick Saban when they faced A&M in 2012. Last year the Aggies jumped all over Bama in the first quarter by taking a 20-0 lead and never looked back.
According to a USA Today report on Sept 13, Texas A&M's 29-point outburst would be the highest scoring total the Tide's defense would allow in the 2012 season, so you can be sure that Alabama won’t over look A&M this season.
However, ‘overlooking’ A&M may not have anything to do with who wins or loses tomorrow afternoon. With both teams ranked in the top 10, it’s going to come down to if Bama’s defense can contain A&M’s high powered go-go offense.
Las Vegas odds makers have Alabama posted as a 7.5 favorite and the over/under number are set at 60.
Prediction: College Station is going to be rocking tomorrow! The 12th man has their shot to take down Alabama for the second straight season, and be the first team to beat the Tide since....oh yeah, since A&M did last year!
Bama is tough no doubt, but the points in this situation are too tempting!
Pick: Texas A&M +7.5
