Alabama Shakes perform 'Hold On' and 'Always Alright' on 'Saturday Night Live' (Photos)

On Feb. 16 the American rock band Alabama Shakes performed "Hold On" and "Always Alright" live on the NBC late night variety show, "Saturday Night Live". It was the band's first time on the program, and can watch them perform "Hold On" on SNL via the video below.

Alabama Shakes Announce Spring 2013 Tour Dates

The song "Hold On" was nominated for a 2013 Grammy Award in the category Best Rock Performance and it was the lead single from Alabama Shakes' debut studio album, "Boys & Girls". The album was released on April 9, 2012 via Rough Trade Records/ATO Records. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category Best Recording Package.

The song "Always Alright" is a track from the "Silver Linings Playbook" soundtrack. It was the second song they performed and you can watch it here. The next new episode of "Saturday Night Live" will air on March 2. Actor Kevin Hart will be the host and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis will be the musical guests.
