Alabama Shakes on 'SNL': American rock band rocks with hit song, 'Hold On'

Alabama Shakes on “SNL” has quite a few fans talking about their great performance this weekend, as Upcoming Yahoo News reported this Sunday, Feb. 17 that the American rock band rocked the house on the Feb. 16 episode of “Saturday Night Live.”

After host Christopher Waltz welcomed the band with the brief introduction, “Ladies and gentleman, Alabama Shakes,” the performance began.

The band then began playing their hit song for the “SNL” audience, “Hold on.” Alabama Shakes played the soulful rocker at a somewhat slower beat than the original version from their “Boys and Girls” debut album.

Although Yahoo News reported that the lower sound quality of Alabama Shakes on “SNL” was a bit of a letdown for some fans — which has been a problem for “Saturday Night Live's’” musical guests in the past — the rock band rocked on with “Always Alright” afterwards to great applause.
