MONTGOMERY, Ala - Louis Vuitton bears permanent scars from the hideous abuse he suffered at the hands of 23-year-old Juan Daniels of Montgomery, AL. Much to the relief of the abused dog's many supporters, Juan Daniels was denied parole at a hearing Tuesday.

The Alabama Board of Pardons and Paroles unanimously voted to deny Juan Daniels parole and he does not become eligible again until July 2012. Daniel's supporters feel that he is being treated to harshly for his crime.

Ask most anyone that knows Louis Vuitton's painful story and they will strongly disagree. Louis Vuitton was doused with lighter fluid, lit on fire, and beaten with a shovel in September 2007. According to Holladay Simmons, the veterinarian that initially treated Louis, the injuries were the worst that she had ever treated.

Daniel's reason for the horrendous abuse? He was mad at his mother because she would not let him use the car. Louis, at that time, belonged to his mother.

Montgomery County District Attorney Ellen Brooks requested that the Parole Board deny Daniels an early release in light of his extreme cruelty to Louis, in addition to nine disciplinary actions taken against him during his time in prison. "The first reason to deny parole is to prevent him from hurting another animal or a person," Brooks said.

Louis himself made an appearance in the court room on Tuesday. The now 8 yr-old Pit Bull greeted his many fans with a wagging tail and happy tongue. His demeanor seeming none the worse for wear, despite the torture that he endured, and survived.

Louis had many supporters in the hearing room - more than 60 individuals came to ensure that Louis' crimes would not go unpunished. Law Enforcement, animal advocates, and other fans of the abused dog stood by as the Parole Board delivered their vote.

Juan Daniels is serving a record nine years and six months in prison - an unprecedented sentence in Alabama on an animal cruelty case. Thankfully, Daniels was not slapped with a misdemeanor and released as the public frequently witnesses in many animal abuse cases.

It's refreshing to see the courts take the heinous actions of an animal abuser seriously. Individuals capable of treating another living being in this manner are a danger to society as a whole and their actions must be punished.

Tracking these individuals and making their crimes known to the public is the next critical step in preventing them from re-offending.

THANK YOU FOR THINKING OF THE VICTIM HERE, LOUIE WE LOVE YOU IN PA =)
KEEP WAGGIN YOUR TAIL, YOU SHOWED THEM IN ALABAMA THAT YOU CAN'T KEEP A GOOD DOG DOWN.

i think that it is great that he was denied my only 2 regrets are that it happened to begin with and that daniels was not able to go through the same thing that he put this poor animal through!!!

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

Im sooo glad that Alabama has taken a stand against people who think that its OK to beat innocent animals for no reason!!! I hope he has to serve EVERY day of his sentence!!

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

Way to go Alabama- I hope more states will take a harsher stand against abusers of animals- this is great news! Keep waggin Louie you are a miracle!

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

I am so pleased the Judge (bless him) gave this horrible person the right sentence. There is well documented evidence that people who abuse and torture animals escalate to more deadly violence and murder.

  • JTWALDIE 1 year ago

I commend the judge in this matter, It is high time someone thought of the victim, in this instance Louis, and meted out the appropriate justice. If this were a human this atrocity happened to, it would be a moot point. This happened to "just an animal" so of course this criminal would have supporters. This cretin is a known abuser and the streets will be safer with him off the them! Long may this judge rule his jurisdiction and continue to show compassion for the victims!

Thank you to the judge that made the right decision here and to everyone who took the time to send letters to the parole board. I will be forwarding this on to the 20 people who sent the time to send letters Thank you so much Penny for the update. WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!!

    Good news for animals!

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

I'm so thankful that Mr. Daniels heinous crime not go unpunished. It discusts me that someone could do that to an animal that's obviously capable of so much love and affection. I personally feel 9 years in prison is nothing compared to the eternity he will spend in Hell. Good to see he was made an example of. Let him rot there!!!

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

I am so thrilled to learn this horrible excuse of a person will not be getting out early. What an awesome Judge, we certainly need more like him doling out punishments to the low lives that think it is alright to abuse, torture, fight and/or kill defenseless animals. And the fact that Louis is a pit bull speaks volumes for this judge's compassion and integrity; so many would have just slapped this idiot kid on the wrists or even gone so far as to applaud his actions against a "Monster pit bull". I am so thankful for the way this turned out. I sent letters, signed the petition and emailed like crazy. Just goes to show, if we all work together we can make a difference!!! As for Juan, may he rot in hell forever!!!!!

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

The judge needs to be awarded a metal of honor for standing up for the rights of poor defenseless animals who do not have a voice thank you judge !!

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

please send these comments to the judge so he or she will know that we appreciate him or her for what they do be the voice of the animals who can not speak!! thank u judge!

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

If anyone really thinks that denying Juan Daniel parole is overboard... well, I'll agree to let him out. Under the condition that I can poor lighter fluid all over him, light him on fire and beat him with a shovel. Then he's free to get on with his life.

  • dog lover of course 1 year ago

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone involved who sent Monster-Juan Daniels back to the cell he belongs in...to rot for all I care. To do what he did to this animal is pure evil. It is in his being to have a horrible soul...it could have just as easily been a person that he inflicted his anger upon as well as a dog. It doesn't appear that he is able to change-or has learned anything-hence the bad records he is racking up in prison. Thank you big time to the Judge who sentenced him in the first place. Thank you to the parole board for refusing him freedom. Thank you for all the supporters who showed up to express their thoughts & welfare on behalf of animal rights. Alabama...you did good!!! This is getting lots of attention across the United States and it's helping to paint a different picture of your state~you deserve the praise you are receiving for this action. To convict and then deny parole...it shows you aren't going to sit back and let animal abuse continue without paying the price Monster Juan is now paying. The streets of Montgomery are now a little safer with him in jail....Thank YOU all! P.S. Maybe you could come over to your neighboring state of Mississippi and show them how it's done...they need all the help they can get! I know...because I live there!!!

I CANT BELIEVE HOW SOME PEOPLE CAN BE SO EVIL...

  • Delia 1 year ago

I applaud the HON.. Judge who convicted him and now the Board of Paroles for denying his freedom. This man committed a terrible crime against an innocent animal who could not speak or defend himself. That man is a menace to society and animals in general. I even feared what he can do to his mother in another anger stage. He was not even behaving well in jail, what to be expected in the streets.

The beautiful state of Alabama showed class and compassion giving a wonderful message and example to the rest of the US. Thank you, HON. Judge and thank you, Parole officers.

  • sandra helms 1 year ago

Wow I'm so happy I'm in tears. Its about time people do the time for animal abuse!!! I remember when the story first broke I cried then to. These animals are our gifts from god no animal should ever be treated this way ever.

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

This guy should spend at least his full term in jail. I hope Alabama's largest inmates took a liking to him.
BY THE WAY: "Daniel's supporters feel that he is being treated to harshly for his crime." Its "TOO" harshly, would it kill you to proof read something you're going to publish?

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

anyone who treats a living breathing being this way should get euathanized, just like our little furbabys would get really for no reason at all

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

This story is a prime example of how change happens. The judge gave him a strong sentence for such severe animal abuse and likely prevent this man from harming a person let alone another animal - at least for the time in which he is incarcerated. The outpouring of support in court also reflects to the court that people won't stand for this and kudos to those supporters who took the time to be at the hearing to prevent this cruel individual from being released into society. I say that Louis is a hero dog for surviving this torture so that he can keep this man off the streets.

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

Thank God he was denied parole. He should have gotten life for picking on an innocent animal. What a horrible human being. People abuse is close behind. Sick, sick!

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

God was on Louis V's side!!!! and he deserved it!!!! I am so happy to hear this wonderful news!!!

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

    What's parole?

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

Parole is realease from prison prior to fullfilment of your sentence pretty much. Usually those who get it end up with probabtion even after their release.

Anyone who does this to a living thing does not deserve parole. They deserve to rot in a jail cell till they are shanked to death.

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

Oh that poor dog. They should do the same thing to that despicable man. I am a animal lover and I am glad he was denied parole. I hope he rots in prison. Thanks to the Judge.

  • Patricia Poole 1 year ago

This is one judge that is a human being and cares about innocent animals. Too bad there aren't more like him. It is soo disgusting to see where the animal has been badly abused and even killed and the person who did this crime gets off with just a slap on the wrist. They deserve the harshest sentence that is possible. Would be nice to be able to throw acid on him and beat him with a shovel to see what it feels like. Although he definitely has a screw loose. Thank you again you marvelous honest judge that did what was the right thing to do!!!

  • Devon T. 1 year ago

I'm only 15 but stories like these just want me to help every animal out there. Louis Vuitton is such a sweetheart and shows that she is strong. how could anyone sit there and hurt poor animals without thinking or feeling anything. animal abusers are sick minded and need mental help. they should make a new law that states that if the abusers get off easy, they should seek therapy at least. Louis Vuitton keep on living your life and wagging your tail!

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

It's so incredible that so many people agreed with the judge's ruling. It gives me hope for humankind as a whole. And for the animals that God put under our care when He created us.

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

They should set his @ss on fire and beat him with a shovel.

  • Stacey B. 1 year ago

when I hear stories about people abusing animals for the most stupidest reasons I want to kill them. I know that sounds harsh. But I love animals. Who has the heart to light a dog on fire (that had nothing to do with the situation) over a car. All I can say is what the fuck. Even if it was a fish or a hamster I would feel the same way. I makes me sad when an animal is out in the rain. But this is too far. Lighting a dog on fire. We need to end animal abuse. This is just too far..

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

We need to end the 25% of people who beat animals.
They need to rot in jail.
Wtf. Who has the heart to do that.
Pour some acid on him and light him on fire and beat him.
    Fucking douche bags.
You know what no words can describe him.

  • Stacey B. 1 year ago

    This is just sickening.

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

It's about time! Everyone who abuses animals should go through this...Along with the jail time, I think they should be charged to pay the vet bills and if animal should die, a fee to burial or cremation in addition to vet bills trying to save life!

  • Tammy 1 year ago

A heart felt thank you to the Judge for having the decency to make the correct and just decision.

In this instance, "an eye for an eye" seems appropriate for this putrid good for nothing sub human slime.

Juan Daniels Should ROT In Prison For What He Did. AND...Anyone That Think's He (Juan Daniels) Is Being Dealt With Too Harshly,Should Be Thrown In The Cell With Him!

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

Juan Daniels should be doused in lighter fluid, set on fire and beaten with a shovel. Let this useless excuse for a human being ROT in prison.

  • Anonymous 1 year ago

Maybe if they punished these people to this extent or harsher, they wouldn't do things like this to animals. do they not realize that if they can do this to animals, what can they do to your children or even you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No remorse, they won't care if it is an animal or person.

  • CaDogMama 1 year ago

What is so horrendous is that this even happened. If Juan D. could so do this with one quick decision, he could do this to a person next time. I felt terrible for Louie but he will now be the example in Alabama where animal abuse is rapid. I love the clear message it is putting out for backwards abusers.
