Alabama boy still held hostage after three days

A 5 year old Alabama boy is still being held hostage in an underground bunker by 65 year old Vietnam veteran, Jimmy Lee Dykes, according to NBC news. Authorities do not believe that Dykes intends to hurt the boy, but is using him merely as a shield. Robyn Bradley Litchfield, a spokeswoman for Alabama Department of Public Safety, told Reuters Thursday, "The negotiators are still communicating with the suspect." It has also been reported that the young boy has been provided with needed medication to treat his Asperger's and ADHD, crayons, food, and even a television. Dykes took hostage of Ethan after shooting school bus driver, Charles Albert Poland, 66.
