On Jan. 7 Huffington Post reported that Roker, weatherman for the NBC Today show, told Nancy Snyderman on Sunday nights “Dateline” that in 2002 he lost more than 100 pounds. While that part may not be newsworthy to some, it’s what Roker told her after that announcement that shocked television viewers.
During the interview Al shared some of the side effects he had to endure after the surgery. To put it simply, you poop your pants. Yes, Al Roker pooped his pants after his gastric bypass surgery. As if pooping one's pants isn’t embarrassing enough, Roker was at the White House when the poop occurred.
“Your bowels have been reconstructed, you think you’re pretty safe, and I probably went off and ate something I wasn't supposed to. And as I am walking to the press room…pass a little gas here. I’m walking by myself, who’s going to know? Only a little something extra came out,” Roker says to Nancy. “You pooped in your pants,” she replied. “I pooped in my pants,” Al confirms.
He goes on to explain that it wasn't horrible, but he got rid of his underwear and went commando for the interview.
Oh, Al Roker, say it isn't so.
