Al-Qaeda, or an offshoot of Al-Qaeda, if you can call it that, have found a patsy to do their dirty work. One could spend hours if not days trying to analyze Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, but why bother? He is just the Flavour of the Month in an Al-Qaeda world.
Al-Qaeda Nancy boys, have never been one to go mano a mano with the U.S. or Canadian troops in the conventional way, like with troops in other wars, such as with the Iraqi forces. That is just not the Al-Qaeda way, when you can get others to do it for you.
Al-Qaeda do not feel they are a terrorist group, they say they are soldiers in the traditional way, protectorate of the Islamic way of life, looking for Geneva convention treatment, if captured.
Regular army feel Al-Qaeda deserve no quarter from any organization, especially the Red Cross or Geneva convention. Army reasoning is this, Al-Qaeda brainwashing or coercing innocent civilian women and children to act as Al-Qaeda's suicide bombers, is not Army, it is not even close.
Al-Qaeda using innocent women and children to detonate themselves in a crowded marketplace killing other innocent muslim men, women and children is not mano a mano. That is called genocidal terrorism.
Sending a young man like Umar to blow up a planeload of innocent civilians with the promise of an afterlife with dozens of willing virgins in paradise is another.
Though it is unclear of the species, or gender of these virgins, certainly if there is an Allah, one would agree that when it comes to premartial sex with strangers in paradise, according to the Koran, it is punishable by death. But there is also the issue of blowing up fellow innocent Muslims, one can guarantee Allah would not be pleased regardless.
One thing is a given, Western forces may not eradicate all of Al-Qaeda from the face of this earth, but one promise is clear. Al-Qaeda if you feel dying for your cause as a way to get laid by Allah's virgins, Western forces will be all to happy to oblige.
So Al-Qaeda, man up, show yourself, don't hide behind the skirts of the innocent, that three minutes in Allah's pleasure paradise you seek is only a firefight away and can be yours instantly for the asking and ours for the taking.

If they want to man up and face our forces on the battlefield, I'm sure we can oblige them. It seems it's easier to indoctrinate the young, most of them from affluent families, but obviously impressionable. Thank God that the package didn't ignite.

I've said it before and I say it again: A recurring theme among these terrorist guys is a lack of contact with the opposite sex! They suffer from a lack of nookie! That's the reason why they blow stuff up--including themselves.
Those Muslim gals over in the Middle East need to start dressing like Western gals. If they did, these terrorist dudes would forget all about the 72 virgins in the next world and concentrate on this world.
