Al Jardine added to "America Celebrates The Beatles" tribute

NYC FAB 50 announced Jan. 27 it has added veteran Beach Boys member Al Jardine to the lineup of its “America Celebrates The Beatles" tribute concert at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at Manhattan's Town Hall.

Jardine joins a long lineup of talent that includes Tommy James, Gene Cornish of the Rascals, Melanie, Greg Hawkes of the Cars, Fred Schneider of the B-52s, Marshall Crenshaw, Ron Dante of the Archies, Walter Egan, Ian Lloyd of The Stories, John Ford of The Strawbs, Gary DeCarlo of Steam, Siobhan Magnus from “American Idol,” pianist Roger Kellaway and more. The Cavern Club Beatles will recreate the Beatles' appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” Rich Pagano of the Fab Faux will act as musical director.

Celebrity presenters for the gala concert include actors Charles Grodin and John Gabriel, Tony Perkins of Fox TV, TV host Dick Cavett, sportscaster Len Berman, the Amazing Kreskin and John Lennon's sister, Julia Baird.

Tickets for "America Celebrates The Beatles," starting at $50, are on sale through Ticketmaster.
