Fans of classic Hollywood won't want to miss the newest exhibit arriving at the Huntsville Museum of Art on May 30, 2014. The art museum will host "Al Hirschfeld: A Celebration of Hollywood and Broadway" from the end of May through September 14, 2014. The show features some fifty drawings and prints by the legendary caricaturist, including depictions of classic stars like Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, Charlie Chaplin, John Wayne, Katharine Hepburn, and more.
The exhibit opens with a special talk by Louise Hirschfeld and David Leopold on Thursday, May 29, at 7 pm. Tickets and information about the event can be acquired through the museum; members can attend the talk for $25, while non-members cost $45.
The Huntsville Museum of Art is located at 300 Church Street, South, in downtown Huntsville. Visit the museum's official website or call 256-535-4350 for more information. Other upcoming exhibits at the museum include the Museum Academy Instructors' Exhibition and The Red Clay Survey, both opening in August.
