Lock 3 This 10,000 square foot rink, open until mid-February, offers free, open skating to all visitors. You can bring your own skates and if you don't have your own skates, you can rent them for only $3. When supplies are available, toddlers will receive free strap-on skates.

All skaters must register and wear a wristband which are available at the registration counter. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult. No food or beverages are permitted on the ice. Skaters must skate in the same direction and it is recommended that all skaters wear hats or helmets and gloves while skating. Special Note: The center of the rink is for figure skating lessons and practice only.

While at Lock 3, make sure you take advantage of their 150 foot sledding hill, nicknamed "Reindeer Run," an all season slide made of polymer (called Powderpack), an artificial turf originally designed for artificial ski slopes and toboggan runs.

The sledding hill is designed for younger children but adults can feel free to join the ride as they accompany their children. Only toboggans and tubes provided by Lock 3 can be used on the hill. They may be rented for $3 for 30 minutes.

Hours for the Sledding Hill are 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Saturdays and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. on Sundays.

Lock 3 has a concession stand where food and beverages (like hot chocolate) can be purchased.

Ice rink hours are 11 a.m. -9 p.m. on Thursdays, 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sundays. Special hours for MLK Day on Monday, January 20 are 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
