Akron Glass Works offers fun glass workshops

Akron Glass Works is a hot glass studio and shop located in the Northside district of Akron. The shop offers an ever changing variety of glass gifts created by the two founding artists, Jack Baker and John Boyett, as well as from guest artists. The studio also offers free glassblowing demonstrations from 6pm to 10 pm every Saturday night. 

Akron Glass Works also offers workshops to anyone over the age of 15 years. The flat fee is $45 and the student leaves with their own glass creations at the end of the workshop. They offer workshops a few times each month with a seasonal theme. Their worshop list and availability can be found on their website, here.

Their gift shop is full of beautiful items handcrafted in the studio and the proprietors are very friendly and helpful. Not only will you find completely unique items you will also be supporting local glass artists. The shop is open Tuesday- Friday 12pm-6pm.
