Earlier today, video game publisher XSEED Games announced plans to release the action-RPG game, “Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed”, this summer for the PlayStation 3 and Vita systems.

Developed by Acquire and taking place in Tokyo’s Akihabara (Akiba), the electronic’s district, “Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed” will have gamers taking on the role of Nanashi, a young man who is lured into a trap and becomes one of the walking dead. Nanashi is spared the worst of the transformation thanks to Shizuku, a Synthister (vampire-like beings that have overrun Akiba) hunter. Now, Nanashi has sworn to rid Akiba of the Synthisters alongside the “Akiba Freedom Fighters”, and to do that he will have to roam the district to identify the Synthisters, disguised as humans, and then beat them up and pull off their clothes, exposing them to the sunlight, which will send them back to the netherworld.

Gamers can expect “Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed” to be available for the PlayStation 3 and Vita in the summer of 2014. More details about the game should also be announced in the coming months. You can find a short teaser for the game up top.
