Today, Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai awaits her first child, all while in the company of father-in-law, Mumbai-based actor Amitabh Bachchan, and the rest of her large family, including, of course, husband Abhishek Bachchan
But it's the senior Amitabh who has kept fans updated by use of social networking. What a wonder for this far away family to be able to communicate with everyone from around the world on every aspect of this pregnancy.
Today's message from Amishek Bachchan about his new grandchild reaches the masses via Twitter:
"T 557 -The family gathers together from all over as we wait for the 'arrival' .. Greatest joy for me - a full house and the 'chahel - pahel'"
Although Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan were hoping to have their baby born on 11/11/11 since this is such an astounding date for such things, the little one wasn't ready. And so the wait continues, while the father announced (again via Twitter) that Aishwarya was "out and about."
Reports say that this "out and about" meant a visit to SevenHills Hospital in Mumbai, which probably meant just a regular appointment in preparation for the big day.
And that big day should not be far away because Aishwarya Rai and father Abishek Bachchan were given a mid-November date for the birth of their baby--so stay tuned.
