Airways Brewing Chocolate Stout just in time for Valentine’s Day

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Airways Brewing Company of Kent, Wash., has released a sweet treat for craft beer lovers throughout the Seattle-Tacoma area. Airways Brewing’s Chocolate Stout will be available in 22-ounce bottles and on draft. With a special run just for the holiday, this delicious Chocolate Stout will soon join Airways’ year-round lineup.

“We first brewed our Chocolate Stout as a test batch for the Tap Room and the reaction we received was overwhelming,” said Alex Dittmar, owner and head brewer at Airways Brewing Company. “People really seemed to enjoy the unique twist it provided on the traditional stout.”

Airways’ Chocolate Stout is an easy-drinking, 5.5-percent ABV stout with a subtle chocolate aroma, thanks to the 10 pounds of locally sourced cacao nibs added to each batch. Ebony in color with a rich creamy head, it features mellow flavors of oats, chocolate malt and real chocolate, balanced by the right amount of hops (35 IBUs) for a bittersweet finish.

You can buy this beer at both Airways locations and throughout the Seattle-Tacoma area at select specialty bottle shops – including 99 Bottles, Beer Junction, Chucks 85th St. Market, LetsPour, Pike Grocery, Pint Defiance, Special Brews and more. After this limited-release run, it will soon be available in bottles and on draft year round.

In addition to the Chocolate Stout, you can pick up the brewery’s flagship Sky Hag IPA in 22-ounce bottles. Pints, tasters and growlers of Sky Hag, Chocolate Stout and more can also be found at the Airways Brewing Tap Room or Airways Brewing Beer & Bistro in historic downtown Kent.
