United Continental Holdings, Inc. on Friday announced travel options for United and Continental customers whose flights may be disrupted by severe winter weather expected in the New York area and New England overnight tonight and tomorrow. Weather conditions are expected to lead to the delay or cancellation of certain flights out of New York/Newark Liberty Airport and several other airports in the Northeast.
Customers on flights to, from or through New York/Newark Liberty Airport and other New York area and New England airports on Friday and Saturday may reschedule their itineraries with a one-time date or time change, and the airlines will waive the change fees. Customers may request refunds in the original form of payment for canceled flights.
United Continental Holdings is the holding company for both United Airlines and Continental Airlines. Together with United Express, Continental Express and Continental Connection, these airlines operate an average of 5,656 flights a day to 376 airports on six continents from their hubs in Chicago, Cleveland, Denver, Guam, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark Liberty, San Francisco, Tokyo and Washington, D.C.
