Ahmadinejad declares victory on Iran's nuclear program

A.P. photo/ Bebeto Matthews

President Ahmadinejad declared victory on Iran’s nuclear issues.  He said that world leaders no longer talk of suspending Iran’s enrichment program.  They now treat Iran as a member of the nuclear club, he said, as an equal.  Only Israel still talks of raiding Iran, and some Europeans grumble  (www.imra.org.il, 11/12).

He’s probably right.  I think that the U.S. presidents let us down.  The UN was just bluffing.  What will stop other scofflaws from following Iran’s example?

Something major is getting ready to happen.... Would not be surprised if Iran was Involved in it.

You're right. The US President let us down when he called Iran a member of the "Axis of Evil" when a moderate administration was in power, one that even suspended enrichment for two years. Nothing should stop others from following Iran's example because that's the only way to guard your national sovereignty.

MS misstated my article as that "The U.S. President let us down when he called Iran a member of the 'Axis of Evil' when a moderate administration was in power, one that even suspended enrichment for two years." My point was that our Presidents let Iran get away with nuclear arms development. I would not call any clerical Iranian regime moderate, because they all supported terrorist proxies and nuclear arms development. They did not suspend their nuclear arms program. The claim that they did so came from subversive State Dept. officials, undermining any resolve that Bush might have had left. It since then was made clear that the claim was political, not factual.

Iran did not have to guard its national sovereignty from anyone. To the contrary, other countries have to guard their sovereignty and democracy from Iran. Iran is an aggressor.

You may disagree with me but not put words into my mouth.
