Earlier today, Right Stuf, Inc. announced that it has acquired the anime series “Ah My Buddha”, for release in North America through their Lucky Penny Entertainment label.

“Ah My Buddha” follows the story of Ikko Satonaka, a young man who is sent to train under his grandmother as a monk-in-training. It isn’t all work for Ikko however, as he finds himself surrounded by beautiful priestesses-in-training. Ikko proves to be a great help to the temple, thanks to his ability to perform mass exorcisms, but it comes at a price, his ability is “unlocked” upon seeing a girl naked. Let the fanservice begin.

The “Ah My Buddha” anime series is directed by Keitaro Motonaga (Jormungand), features animation from Studio DEEN (Fate/Stay night) and is based on the manga from Toshinori Sogabe. Lucky Penny Entertainment will release the anime as a complete 26-episode (seasons one and two) DVD collection this summer. Exact details about the series’ release, including the release date and price, will be revealed at a later time.
