This year’s San Diego Comic-Con has been very good to us, giving us the latest spoilers and teasers to our favorite shows. On Monday, IBTimes dropped a few hints on where Grant Ward’s story is headed in Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD.”
According to the source, ex-agent Grant Ward will be returning with more surprises. “I’m definitely in Season 2, and we’re taking it one step at a time,” actor Brett Dalton told Seat42F. While not even Dalton knows what Grant’s story will be, he has hope that his character will redeem himself. “I like to consider myself an antihero, not a villain,” Dalton says. Hmm, well the events in the Season 1 finale sure seemed malicious enough for a villain.
Chloe Bennet also shared that she does not think Skye’s storyline with Ward is over. “I really don’t think deep down that Ward is – Well, [Ward is] a murderer….but he was manipulated by Garrett. I hope there’s redemption,” Bennet says.
Jed Whedon was also there to tease the future of “Agents of SHIELD.” As he tries to rebuild SHIELD, Director Coulson will have to team up with some people that he might not trust. The source believes this could include Ward. “This season he’s [Coulson] going to go in knowing that he has to work with people he doesn’t necessarily trust,” Whedon told the source. Of course, no one confirmed that Ward will be one of them, but it’s a safe bet.
Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” Season 2 returns to ABC on September 23. Stay tuned for the latest spoilers and information. Filming for “Agents of SHIELD” Season 2 began just last week!
