“Seeds” is tonight’s episode of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Warning: this article contains spoilers. To review the last case file, click here. Be sure to check out the slideshow for more quotes from tonight’s episode. "Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." returns on February 4th on ABC (KTRK).

Time to go back to school! A case takes our team to the Science and Technology S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy. It is great to learn more about the inner workings of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well as learning more about Ward and FitzSimmons S.H.I.E.L.D. education. The episode has a Fitz focus. He opens up to Donnie about what it was like for him going through the academy. It would have been great to have some Simmons moments as well, after all, she attended the same academy. Still, it is great to spend some time learning more about Fitz. He steps out of the lab in this episode and spends some time making a connection with Donnie. Did you enjoy the Fitz focus?

While the rest of the team is back at school, Coulson and May head to Mexico City. May has been looking into Skye’s background, and she located someone who could help fill in some clues. Surprisingly, a lot of answers are given in this episode. An entire S.H.I.E.L.D. team and village were killed over Skye. The call was an 084, aka an object of unknown origin. While, it is unclear if anything about the 084 is learned, we do learn that S.H.I.E.L.D. has been protecting Skye her entire life. It is great to have some answers, and these will definitely hold viewers over for a little while. What’s even better is that because of what happened to him, Coulson decides to tell Skye everything he learned. It’s a good character moment for Coulson. What are your thoughts on everything we learned about Skye?

Here are quick thoughts on elsewhere in the episode. Skye also has a great character moment. She talks about how she feels like she hacked her way into S.H.I.E.L.D. and that she didn’t earn it. Also, her reaction to what Coulson told her about her past is awesome, but it is interesting that Coulson relays her words instead of having Skye say them herself. Perhaps this is to minimalize the cry factor. The case of the episode is definitely interesting and full of twists. However, it due to all the other storylines involved, the investigation is a little rushed. It could have been entertaining to see our team interrogating potential S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. What did you think of the episode?
