Coulson realizes that maybe there are some answers in his medical file that can help save Skye. This isn’t a bad idea. The writers do a good job of showing all sides of this situation. Everyone isn’t immediately on board, and even Coulson doesn’t want FitzSimmons to replicate what happened to him. He only wants them to use his medical file as a resource. Surprisingly, Skye being an 084 never comes up in this episode. It would not have been a stretch to have that play into her recovery. Well, maybe it will but we haven’t gotten there yet. What did you think of the plan to save Skye?
A lot is revealed in this episode. First off, Quinn shot Skye because the Clairvoyant told him to. It is hard to know anything with the Clairvoyant, which is annoying. The writers have done a good job at making the Clairvoyant’s reach felt, but other than that, it is hard to fear the Clairvoyant, if that is the writer’s goal. The Clairvoyant is simply something that pops up and provides annoyance. Coulson learns a lot about what actually happened to him. Is there a file that isn’t full of lies? Thankfully the writers are finally giving answers, but right now, it is hard to figure out what it all means. There is still a lot to learn, and hopefully the writers will continue to dish out more. Director Fury could provide a lot of answers, and it would be great to see him again on the show. What did you think of the answers provided in this episode?
There are two new agents aboard the bus tonight: Agent Garrett and Tripplett. It is always nice to see other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, especially because they help put things in perspective. Coulson is regarded by a lot of the agency as having lost prestige. Personally, there seems something untrustworthy about them. Both agents have ties to Ward, and it would be great to eventually learn more about what Ward did before joining Coulson’s team. It is hard to tell if the writers wanted there to any sort of romantic feelings happening between Tripp and Simmons. Personally, I wasn’t feeling it. What are your thoughts on Agent Garrett and Tripplett?
