Keep the bread away from Kim Kardashian, who has successfully lost 70 pounds on a high fat, low carb diet, detailed in "New Atkins for a New You: The Ultimate Diet for Shedding Weight and Feeling Great." Determined to fit into a size zero wedding gown, the reality TV star has put herself on an extreme weight loss diet that cuts the carbs even more, reported Hollywood Life on Jan. 24.

"Kim wants to be thinner than her pre-baby body and is willing to do anything to get there. She’s desperate to be a size 0 bride," said one of Kim's friends.

As a result, while still restricting carbohydrates, Kim is "counting the calories in everything and living on grilled fish, chicken and steamed vegetables." Because her food plan is based on the Atkins diet, which is a high fat ketogenic diet designed to boost fat-burning, that personal chef she's hired can take advantage of the "The New Atkins for a New You Cookbook: 200 Simple and Delicious Low-Carb Recipes in 30 Minutes or Less."

In addition to having "barely eaten a carb for nearly four months," Kim is boosting her metabolism by boosting her time in the gym.

“She works out every day at 5 a.m.,” Kim's friend Jonathan Cheban told In Touch. Total time exercising: Three hours daily.

After losing so much weight, Kim admits that it's strange to see herself in past episodes of "Keeping up with the Kardashians," reported Yahoo OMG.

"It's crazy because seeing myself back in this episode I just had my baby girl and I still hadn't lose my weight yet. It reminds me of all of the work I put in, and shows me to not stop working out to live a healthy lifestyle," Kim added.

Also motivating her: "Seeing every crazy thing written about me."

And although Kim says that the Atkins diet has worked for her, she admits it still had its challenges.

"It allowed me to lose weight fast and not starve," Kim explained for her reasons for choosing the plan. Get the details on the new Atkins weight loss plan by clicking here.
