Recently chosen for "Dancing with the Stars," Snooki is annoyed with criticism that she looks too thin, reported Digital Spy recently. Although she's lost almost 50 pounds since giving birth a year ago, the 96-pound "Jersey Shore" star complained, "People are jerks. I don't look emaciated - I look healthy!"
Attempting to come up with a way to prove that she's not too thin, Snooki added, "My arms still jiggle when I wave! I'm 4' 9", which is the size of a third grader, so weighing 96 pounds is normal for me."
In addition to fretting about her arms, Snooki is worried about the possibility of regaining weight. “People ask me why I’m still working out — I’ll gain the weight back if I don’t,” she told In Touch magazine.
Snooki recently appeared on Dr. Mehmet Oz's talk show to discuss her weight loss and workout plan. Among her food mainstays: Egg white omelets with broccoli and mini fruit cups. And she emphasized that she's using a natural approach.
“It’s not a miracle pill you take and it’s not doing anything crazy! You just go to the gym and work out. It’s dedication and it’s motivation!!" she told Dr. Oz's audience. "I’ve worked very hard to lose all the weight! I wanted to be a fit mom and be good for Lorenzo and for him to be healthy.”
In addition to her extremely low calorie meals, Snooki has removed alcohol from her diet. “I hate drinking now. I’d rather be with my son!” she declared. To supplement her low-calorie diet, she heads to the gym "seven days a week. I go with my trainer five days a week, I have a treadmill downstairs or I do crunches," she said. "I try to do something at least once a day." Learn more by clicking here to read an interview with her trainer.
