Time to salivate again, Assassin’s Creed fans, as Ubisoft has released a teaser video featuring alpha game footage of the franchise’s next iteration Assassin’s Creed: Unity, according to a report today from VG 24/7.
The video comes after images of the game leaked earlier this week, according to a previous VG 24/7 report, which the Assassin’s Creed publisher poked fun at a bit in a statement.
“We have been working on the new Assassin’s Creed for more than three years and although we weren’t quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand,” Ubisoft said.
Ubisoft advised fans to “stay tuned” as more details about the game should be coming out in the coming months.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity reportedly will be set in 18th Century Paris during the French Revolution. The video itself features what appear to be Parisian streets and ends with the dropping of a guillotine, an execution style best known for during the uprising.
Gamers will play as the protagonist Arno, an assassin.
