Matt Garza is coming to the Milwaukee Brewers. It just took a little longer than the team wanted.

Sunday afternoon Brewers owner Mark Attanasio announced the deal that will bring the free agent pitcher to Milwaukee.

Garza, 30, will receive a guaranteed $50 million over four years. There is an option for a fifth year, based on performance.

The news of Garza coming to the Brewers first surfaced last week, but there were some loose ends to the deal and it wasn't finalized until today. The deal is pending approval by Major League Baseball.

Last year, Garza went 10-6, pitching for both the Texas Rangers and the Chicago Cubs.
