Just days after news that Madonna was replaced by 25-year-old model Lara Stone to front the 2010 Louis Vuitton campaigns, the Material Girl emerged in a new campaign for Dolce & Gabbana in Vanity Fair Italy.
The 51-year-old appears in a series of photos inspired by Italian Neorealism cinema as a glamorous Italian housewife in the photo shoot by Steven Klein for the fashion house.
"She loved the collection," Stefano Gabbana tells the magazine. "She is passionate and impressively knowledgeable about Italian cinema".
And the queen of pop has been taking her D&G modeling from the pages of Vanity Fair Italy to the red carpet of late.
She looked chic in a bustier, figure-hugging Dolce & Gabbana LBD at the premiere of Nine in NY on Tuesday night and strappy D&G killer heels at Tom Ford's A Single Man directorial debut the week prior.
Even her daughter Lourdes was wearing the designer label when she accompanied her famous mom to the Nine screening in the Big Apple.

She looks a lot better in this campaign than the LV one.
