After 15 years Tatyana Ali makes her return to music

In addition to starring in the BET series "Second Generation Wayans," ThisisRnB reported on Wednesday January 22 that actress Tatyana Ali is making a comeback in the music industry.

The actress who plays "Maya", the sassy assistant to Damien Dante Wayans, the nephews of Keenen Ivory, Shawn, Damon and Marlon Wayans, has just release a 5 track EP entitled 'Hello.' That track list includes songs titled, 'Wait for it,' 'Almost Love,' 'Last Summer,' 'Worth the Wait,' and the title track 'Hello.'

Ali originally made her music debut back in 1998 with the release of her album "Kiss the Sky," which featured the top 10 Billboard Hit “Daydreamin." Now, nearly 16 years later she is back to singing. Although according to a S2S interview, she never really left music and it's her passion.

"'I really love acting and singing and performing. It’s my passion. There are times where I haven’t been on TV for a long time, but I’ve been doing theater. I really like the work. It’s what I love to do,' said Tatyana, who hopes there are a lot more roles in her future."

Tatyana Ali also released a short film to coincide with her EP where she explains the vision behind the EP and the title track explaining "[to]have someone see me for me, now I know the only thing that matters is that I see."
