Honor, not the luck of the Irish, was bestowed early March 16, 2013 to some accomplished African American women as The Baltimore City Club of The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc. held its 17th Annual Living Women's History Makers Awards Breakfast. This annual event took place at The Forum Caterers, located at 4210 Primrose Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21215.
The chairperson, Jean Owens, and her committee worked tirelessly to make sure the program went off without a hitch. Attendees enjoyed a delicious breakfast of eggs, homefries, apples, bacon and sausage. Then the honorees were recognized and presented with plaques in various areas.

There was lots of networking and picture-taking as this memorable event came to a close.
According to the NANBPWC website, the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc., with headquarters in Washington, D.C., was founded in 1935. Its mission is to promote and protect the interests of African American business and professional women, serve as a bridge for young people seeking to enter business and the professions, improve the quality of life in the local and global communities and foster good fellowship.
The Baltimore City club was founded in 1941.
The current president of the Baltimore City Club is Darleen Thomas.
