African American Heritage Festival this weekend

The African American Heritage Festival happens this weekend and I encourage you to attend. Despite the huge size of the crowd and the sometimes unbearable heat, I can remember enjoying myself thoroughly.  I ate, I laughed and, ladies and gentlemen, I grooved.

The live entertainment this year is quite impressive.  This line-up includes both local and nationally acclaimed artists: Robin Thicke, Fantasia, Mario, Chuck Brown, Leela James, Donnie McClurkin, Ryan Leslie, Julie Dexter, DJ Lil Mic, Natalie Stewart and Marsha Ambrosius!

Check the deets:

June 18th : 4 p.m. - 10 p.m.
June 19th : noon - 10 p.m.
June 20th : noon - 9 p.m.

Festival admission free before 4 p.m., $5 after 4 p.m., free for kids 12 & under; Reserved seating: $30
