African American Festival to feature Radio One's Stone Soul Picnic

The African-American Festival is an annual festival that celebrates African-American life, music and culture.  The festival will take place at the M&T Bank Stadium on Lots B and C between Oriole Park at Camden Yards, 1101 Russell Street, Baltimore, MD 21230 on July 2-3, 2011. This free event has grown exponentially every year and, for the first time in its history, will feature Radio One's Stone Soul Picnic.

The Stone Soul Picnic brings some of the best contemporary music artists together for memorable performances and will greatly increase the traffic to the event. You will need to get on the mailing list to see who will be featured this year.

In addition to the top-billed entertainment, folks will have a chance to view an extensive selection of entertainment (a choir competition, the 2011 African-American film festival, and a 3-on-3 basketball challenge), cultural exhibits, contests, health screenings, education and financial empowerment activities. More than 150 vending booths will afford attendees several shopping opportunities and a chance to taste great food. They will also enjoy 3 stages of entertainment during the 2-day celebration.
